What Is the FastSale Cash Score? How It Works
Fast Answers
What does the FastSale Cash Score number actually mean?
It's a 0-100 score representing how well a specific sale channel matches your stated urgency — a higher score means a better fit between your timeline and that channel's typical speed and payout.
Does a higher score always mean more money?
Not necessarily — if you selected "I need cash today," the highest-scoring channel is weighted toward speed, which may mean a lower payout percentage than a slower channel would offer.
Is my data saved when I use the calculator?
No — the calculator runs entirely in your browser; no personal or asset information is transmitted or stored.
The Formula, in Plain Terms
For each channel in your selected category, the tool computes a speed score (how fast that channel is relative to the slowest option in the same category) and a value score (the typical midpoint payout percentage). It then blends the two based on how urgently you said you need the cash — weighting speed more heavily if you chose "today," and value more heavily if you chose "no rush."
Why We Built It This Way
Most calculators online show you one number — an estimated offer from one specific buyer type. The FastSale Cash Score instead shows the full landscape of channels for your asset category, ranked specifically for your stated timeline, so you can see the tradeoff rather than just one data point.
How to Read Your Results
The top-ranked channel is the best match for your stated urgency, not necessarily the highest-paying option overall. Scroll the full ranked list to see how the next few channels compare in both days and payout percentage before deciding.
